  • 2 cups Buttercream frosting

  • 1 cup Heart-shaped sprinkles

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking.
  2. Grease and flour two heart-shaped cake pans.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl; then gradually add this dry mixture to your wet ingredients.
  7. Divide the batter equally into the prepared heart-shaped pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cakes completely in the pans for about 10 minutes, then gently turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Frost the cooled cakes generously with buttercream and decorate with heart-shaped sprinkles.
